Term 1!

ahh, so the end of term one is in only 2 days! YIKES! I'm actually kind a stressed out about it, I know I can get everything done in time, and I usually do, but just the fact that I have a certain amount of stuff to get finished in 2 days is really freaking me out! So many things to think about, and since today I didn't get the chance to do this Bio 11 lab, whether it is rain or shine, I'm gonna be doing the lab outside, which will really suck if it is raining, and hopefully I won't get sicker!

Yes.... I have a bit of a cold at the moment, it started one Sunday/Monday, so I hope it goes away before the weekend, I need and want to be able to sing without sounding retarded! I have a bit of a stuffed up nose, HAHA, so if it doesn't go away by the weekend, I'm going to be singing with a very nasally tone =P.

BIG NEWS! =D I actually contacted the youth sponsor that offered to help me record! We planning to record the song sometime soon, maybe next weekend or something! And the best part....... HE'S GONNA SEE IF WE CAN USE HIS BROTHER'S RECORDING STUDIO! =D AN ACTUAL RECORDING STUDIO!!!!!! How great is that?! =D I'm excited, but a little nervious about how it will sound! I hope it will go well. I've been feeling lately that maybe I'm supposed to be taking this road... I mean, I'm still interested in studying and training to be a animal physiotherapist! But it's only an idea, and the doors for a music career are kind of opening up for me. Like 2 years ago, I couldn't write songs or anything... Then I learned guitar, got better at piano, and started taking vocal lessons... Now I'm writting songs, being creative with the guitar and piano, and letting myself try different things with my voice..... People actually LIKE my music too! I wrote and performed a song for my old youth pastor (who had resigned), but played if for the whole youth group! It's amazing! Before, I was terrified of being up there, I still get nervious of course! But once I get on the stage and see all the people who want me to succeed and are cheering me on, I just feel so comfortable and just start to enjoy myself! But I don't know! And now I'm going to be record a song, MY song! A song I wrote! IT'S INCREDIBLE! I never ever ever, thought this would ever happen to me, it was all in my imagination. Also I already decided that if I do that this music as a career, and if that is what I am meant to do... I want to be one of those artists who do it for the fun of it, and play for Jesus! I don't want it to be all about me, and I don't want fame! God is the reason this is all happening for me, I wouldn't even be here in my life if it wasn't for Him! So why in the world would I give the credit to myself?

But anyways... It's getting late, and I still have to get some more of these notes done, I'll try to blog soon! I hope you all have a great week/weekend! =) And take it easy with school =P, it will all fall into place, just work your hardest and do your best! That's all you can do! =)

Youth night!

So tonight went a lot better than I had thought it would! It was sad seeing Colin say goodbye to everyone, after so many years with his highschool students, and now he's leaving. But I played Colin the song, he loved it! =D Actually everyone loved it! I got the loudest applause I have ever gotten ever in my whole life! One of the youth leaders even offered to help me record the song! =O It was absolutely incredible! It was funny though, during the second verse (I sort of made it funny), so everyone started laughing, including me, I couldn't stop laughing for a few seconds =P.

After everyone finished their speeches and such, we went back to Fusion and gave a toast to Colin with his favourite drink (coke, not pepsi because to him it tastes like dirt =P) and his family. Also, we gathered around and prayed for him and his family as they start their lives on a new path. There was lots of tears, and macara running (mostly from Sarah =P), but it was all good! I even gave the music/lyrics for the song to Colin, just so he has it =). But I really am going to miss Colin, I can't imagine Velocity without him! It is definitely not going to be the same without him there. I just hope we will find another great youth pastor, even though nobody can replace Colin. HE YA! =P

Hey, sorry for the dorky title, I just didn't know what to call this one =P..

Thanksgiving was pretty great! How about yours? The weekend was mostly relaxing, and then Thanksgiving day, my younger sister and I went and played our youth's yearly Thanksgiving Football game. It was, different this year.. I was originally going to play the full contact game, but the other "fun" game decided they wanted me in that game, so I played with them for most of the time.. I managed to catch the ball once, but failed to get a touch down, and then when I was about to catch it another time, I miss judged how high it was, so I ended up catching it with my face =P. I had no bruise though! =D Later, I did play a bit of the full contact, but nothing interesting happened. =P

This week has been good is some ways... I have managed to write 2 songs this week! RECORD! The only bad thing about it is that I haven't been getting as much school as I would like one, but I'm hoping to make it up today. Anyways, I wrote a song yesterday, because our Highschool pastor is resigning, which is really sad, so I thought I'd write a song. So now, I am going to be playing it at youth tonight! =D I'm a little nervious about it, but I'm excited at the same time! I just hope everything goes smoothly, please pray for me! =)

Anyways, that's my exciting news so far, I'll for sure be letting you know how it went! =) In the mean time, I'm gonna get back to school. Hope you all have a great week! Or weekend =P..

Thanksgiving!

I just wanted to wish everybody an amazing Thanksgiving! =) I hope your Thanksgiving is filled with special memories, thankfulness, and blessings! Lets try to remember why we celebrate it too, it's not because the of turkey on the table, but everyone coming together to celebrate what we are thankful for! Here are some things I'm most thankful for!

1. I'm thankful for my amazing friends/siblings in Christ Kevin, Megan, Lukey, Jesse, Rachel, Dale, Frank, Elijah, Kaitlyn, and Hayley. I couldn't be more thankful for God bringing them into my life! They are absolutely the most amazing siblings in Christ ever! Some of them, such as Hayley, Rachel, Jesse, and Lukey, I don't think there is anything I could do or say that would describe how thankful I am to have them in my life! Lukey even sacrificed some of his time during school hours to e-mail me or something when I was having a horrible day, or was disappointed because I was rejected by some cows! Jesse, I've never met anyone like you before! =P You are truly an inspiration, and special! I had the bestest time hanging out with you in Tulameen =), I don't think I've ever smiled as much around anyone before. Hayley, I'm so thankful you are in my life! I love how we can talk about anything at all, even if it is really embarrassing or stupid, we can still talk about it =), love you girly! =) Rachel.... Well, what can I say? =P Your incredible! Your my big sissy! =D I always have a great time when I'm around you! =) (must be a Darby thing!) =P I love you all SOOOOO much! I can't even describe to you how much I love you all!

2. my family, mom, dad, Sarah, Mady, William, Chico (my chinchilla), Nanny, Papa, Dallan, Ryan, auntie Candice, uncle Rick, uncle Mark, Aunty Ruth, Uncle Al, Brian, Stephanie. Also, my family from my dad's side as well =). I love you all so much! =)

3. I'm thankful that I Jesus died for me, and that He is always by my side and is a loyal friend. My Father in heaven, He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords! He loves me even when I don't deserve it! There is nothing in life that I could do for Jesus that would be enough compared to what He did for me! I LOVE YOU LORD! =D

4. I'm thankful that I have been blessed in a warm place to live, the clothes on my back, my education (even though it can be stressful at times), and having a job to feed my little chinchilla =).

New Blog!

Hi! I'm Kat, or Katie, whatever you choose to call me =)! This is a new blog! I've had other blogs, but eventually, I decided that it's time I started a new one. I was originally with Home School Blogger, but they made their site quite confusing and fussy now.
Some things about me.... I'm 15, turning 16 in 3 months! Um, I'm a Christian! I love my Father in heaven and saviour Jesus Christ with all my heart! I'm home schooled! I have 3 biological siblings, an older sister and a younger sister and a younger brother. But I have a lot of in Christ siblings, it would probably take me a while to name them all =P, but they are all SO incredibly great, I couldn't ask for better siblings, both in Christ and biologically =P!
 I'm a musician, I play piano, guitar, and I sing! I'm even on my youth worship team, which I enjoy SO much! Some of my favourite artists are the Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift, Lights, and some others, I just can't think of them at the moment =P.
Some things you might like to know about my blog, I may not post alot, I can be quite busy! So there might be large breaks in between each post, and I mean LARGE breaks. But I'll try my best to post every now and then! Anyways, better get some school done!
