Hello my friends! =) Life been treating you well?
I think one thing I forgot to mension on my last post was that, I GOT ANOTHER GIG! I was asked on Wednesday to perform another song, a Christmas song this time, on the 19th of Dec., and I got my piano/vocal teacher to agree to accompany me! =D She's an AMAZING musician... I'm am jealous of her voice =P... But anyways, yeah! I'll be sure to let you know how it goes, when the time comes! =)
This weekend, my sisters and I stayed at our grandparents' house, it was nice! Very relaxing as well! We kind of just relaxed on Friday night because we got there a little late, and went to bed rather late, but had LOTS of snow! I was freezing! The bedroom I usually sleep in when I stay over has a bit of a draft, so it gets quite cold in there, thank goodness for super com but on Saturday, we helped our grandparents' set up their Christmas decorations.... It brings back a lot of memories =), it is kind of a tradition we have, sleeping over there for a few days to help set up their Christmas decorations =). We made a silly mistake this year though =P, we tried setting up the tree upside down =P, HAHA, silly silly! We had hte middle piece upside down, and we thought we were missing a piece, so my grandpa (we call him Papa) got creative with wood and tried to fit the tree together and eventually he said "Katie, can I see the other piece?", so I show him it, and he was like "we are all stupid!", HAHA, figured out we had it upside down =P. It was fun though! My little cousin Dallan even came to help us out, for a 6 year old, he is VERY smart and has a great vocabulary. We had fun with him, its makes it even more fun now that he can actually have a conversation with us, and we don't exactly have to talk in a baby voice =P, HAHA. Later, after dinner, we just sat around, some of us worked on homework, and at 9:00 my grandma, my sisters, and I watched a murder mystery on BBC, I can't remember what it was called though. HAHA, creeped some of us out a bit =P, but it was fun! Nanny and Papa have the most comfortable beds and bedding ever! =P (Nanny even gave me one of their pillows because I love them so much =P! YAY, NEW PILLOW! =D).
Today, we slept in till 10 or so =P. Nanny made us french toast and made us eat so much I thought I would explode! =P Afterwards, we got dressed, did make up and such.. Nanny gave me her pleather jacket, I thought I looked a little goofy in it, because it was a little too big for me. But hey, whatever! It sure kept me warm! We walked down to the market and got some stuff for lunch and dinner. HAHA, gave my little sister, Mady some snow to her face =P, and then she got my in the back of the head.... But it was all fun! =P She even managed to get a big clump of snow in the bag I was carrying too =P. Then we eventually got back, we did a little bit of homework, and my grandma had lunch ready. We enjoyed that, and then she got us to sit downstairs while she cleaned up and vaccuumed the house a bit. We worked on more homework, then my mom showed up, they talked for a bit, while I worked on my homework in the basement. Once dinner was ready, I stopped but man IT WAS A FEAST! =D We had a roast and homemade dumplings, think she stuffed us too full again =P. It was great though! Then we sat in the living room and drank tea and talked =).
One of my most favourite families in the whole wide world had a new baby! Little (this isn't part of her name, but I thought I'd add it in =P), Norma Darby =). I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HER! My new little sister in Christ =P!
Anyways, I better go.. I think my siblings are waiting for me to go downstairs and watch Heartland with them =P. I hope you all had a great week/weekend as well!

Update...
Hey Yo! Sorry! I know it's been a while since I last posted.. HAH, actually it was only a week ago, but it feels longer than that =P.. I'm just posting while I'm waiting for my younger sister to finish her essay, then I get to sleep! =P I know this is random, but I just finished watching the live Peter Pan movie =P, I think it's pretty great, I just missed a couple of scenes because some of the Youtube videos were weird or out of order, so yeah. Anyways, some updates...
I GOT THE RECORDING! =D YE HA! HAH, it was fun! I got a rough copy of it, but he said he is gonna fix it up a bit for me.. And I've already asked him to make me a chipmunk version of the recording =P. It should be pretty great!
Then the performance for Colin's appreciation night =P... I was SO nervious waiting at home till it was time to leave, I felt really sick, I'm not even gonna give you the details =P. Anyways, I got there, decided to make sure my guitar was tuned.... =S One of the strings was out majorly! I was panicing, and guess who showed up?! LUKEY! I couldn't believe they actually showed up! =O =D Especially since I talked to them over chat only a few hours before I was supposed to leave, the whole time believing they weren't showing up, and then Luke and Jesse show up =D! Man I love those guys! =P They sure know how to surprise a girl! I think that's the best I've ever performed that song =P, HAHA, and everyone loved it! The silly part about it was that, I was so comfortable being up there again =P, HAHA, even though there were so many more people than last time... That's the funny part about it, I get so nervious waiting, but once I get up on stage, I'm so comfortable... I think it might have to do with the fact that I know everyone in the room is supporting me and they want me to succeed =). Also, I make sure I let God take the song the way he wants it to, it helps a lot! =P
Then for some more personal things... School!
School it going pretty good this year... I'm managing to keep up, and I'm definitely doing better than last year... The only thing is that I'm starting to stress again, I mean, I know I get the work done, its just the amount of work given for a certain amount of time is ridiculous! 2 chapters of Socials for one Module!?! I barely have enough time to read one! And I have a whole Module due on Friday, and since I was trying to get the last quiz in (which took me longer than I hoped) I didn't leave myself time to work on this module... I'm seeing if my teacher will give me some time next week too, but I'm going to try my best to get in what I can this week. Then math... Almost to the point of hating it.. I mean, it's not THAT bad, but I was supposed to be finished the section I'm working on right now, last month! But that was my principle's schedule for us, so techniquely I'm not behind... But the fact that I'm supposed to be following her schedule does! And I'm getting really anxious about getting it done! I was hoping to get it done last week, but I couldn't get enough help! I can never get enough help in time! I'm having a v-class with my math teacher tomorrow, but still! I just hope I can get this section done no later than this week... I really need to start the next module! Science, I'm not behind, I'm just everywhere with it =P.. I mean, I've done assignments that are supposed to be done this month, there are just a few left, but there are tests............That's what I'm worried about, the tests are worth 50% of my grade! I didn't know that till a few days ago! I'm getting a 70% in the course because of it! So now I need to figure out a way to study for the tests better, it seems none of my ways of studying are doing me any good.. PLEASE PRAY FOR ME!
Anyways...Sorry if my last paragraph stressed you out! =/ I tend to do that to some people when I talk about school. I think I should go to bed now, it's almost 12:20 and I got work tomorrow morning, then I am going for coffee with my friend (middle school youth pastor) Megan a few hours after work is over, so I better get some sleep =P. I'll try to post again soon, and hopefully it won't be as stressful next time =P, and not so late at night (or should I say in the morning =P).

More music!
HEY HEY! Sorry I haven't posted in a few weeks... I've been pretty busy, probably too busy for my own good =P... I barely even had enough time to get assignments in. Anyways, some good news =D!
First.. I'm recording "Time Goes By" with one of the youth sponsors this coming Saturday night! =D Can't wait for that! He said he might ask his brother if he could borrow his studio, but even if we can't he said he has the same equipment at his place, so we will probably end up doing it at his house. So YAY! =D
Second, today the middle school youth pastor asked me to play the song again next Sunday, at the goodbye thing we are doing for Colin. Which I have weird feelings about. I know I want to do it, but I don't know...I'm not exactly sure how I am supposed to feel about it, I mean, I'm kind of excited, the pastor said there will be about 100 people there, but I really don't know how I feel about it! YIKES AND YAYS! =S =) I think it should be good though!
One bad news... Today, the head pastor of our church, he resigned from his position at our church. I couldn't believe it! Pretty much the whole church was crying, there has been way to much change going on there, and it's quite overwelming. But I think it might be a good change, our church has grown spiritually, and I think some change might be good for that reason. It is definitely hard, but I think as a church, we can help each other get through the hard patches. I wonder what plans God has in store for out church, and I know His plans are always good...... Just can't imagine what it is going to be like. But anyways, I got to get studying in before I have to go to bed, I'll try to post again sometime, hopefully soon, and I'll make sure to give you an update on how the recording, and the performance next Sunday goes =).
