Major Update!

Wow! Its been like almost 2 months since I've posted! I've been so occupied with things!
Well, I've started grade 12, and its a heck a lot easier than I thought it would be! I mean, I'm already doing January work! My life went from one extreme to another, 2 years of nothing really except school, and then this year, anything but almost no school. Its ridiculous! I mean I don't mind lacking school to do, its a nice change, but I've been so bored! =P The past week or so, I literally was out of school to do because I was waiting for my book "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" by Mark Twain, to come in the mail. But I'm still busy.

I'm started my driving lessons with Valley Driving School! I really like it! My instructor is awesome, and even with just one lesson, I was already driving on the main roads! =D It was awesome! Except, I do need work on some stuff, such as stopping at the stop signs (I tend to stop to suddenly, so I end up jolting the car, which isn't much fun.), then I was getting to comfortable with the speed =P, so I was kinda going to fast around the corners (I was a little freaked out.), and then when he got me to drive home, I got to the drive way and almost went through the garage door =P. BUT! I didn't! I stopped and parked just fine. =P So I'm looking forward to my next lesson on Tuesday, he said he's gonna get me to start driving on harder roads.

I'm on two worship teams this year at church. I was accepted as a synth player on the Sunday morning worship team, and then I'm a singer and keyboardist on one of the youth worship teams. Unfortunately though, I was put on a different team that before. I was so looking forward to my last year playing/worshiping with my old worship leader and the team before I graduate, but it seems God has a different plan for me. I'm still getting used to being on the other team though. I miss my old team, and I feel like I'm not getting the leadership I need or anything I had before. The first week was a bit chaotic, I personally was anxious and stressed out just because I felt like the stage was too crowded, and we didn't pray before we started which would have made a huge difference... But I think I'm just going to have to lay off for a while and let the new worship leader get comfortable in his position, and so on. I'm just still trying to figure out why God chose this for me..... But I know God has a good reason for this.

I'm really enjoying youth this year though! I feel like I'm sorta fitting in better, and I feel (I guess) more wanted? I dunno, but I feel like I have new confidence and attitude towards it. I guess the fact that I have time for it, makes a huge difference too. I'm enjoying the people there, and the events and everything. =) I dunno, I guess I feel more comfortable than I used to.

Sunday school was amazing this week! I don't usually go to Sunday school, but this week I kind of had to since I had to be at the church for an early meeting. If you have time look up the video "How Great is Our God" by Louis Giglio! Its absolutely mind blowing! And the worship and the sermon for the Sunday morning service was great too! It was just a great morning of sermons, prayer, and worship! =)

I got to see my awesome Wejefumas again today! It was great seeing them! Unfortunately though, 2 1/2 hours is not very long... So we didn't get to do too much together. But we'll have to get together again soon anyways!

OH! And my Thanksgiving was good too! I got to visit with my grandma, uncle mark, and my older cousin stephanie whom I do not get to see very often. It was great see them all again! We had lots of food, and I got to have a nice walk/talk with my cousin in the beautiful fall weather.

On Thanksgiving day though. I went to my youth group's traditional Thanksgiving football game! It was awesome! I started off with the fun, touch football game with the girls. Then once they decided they were done, I went over and tried playing some tackle football with the guys and some of the girls. It was great! But it was raining a lot, so the grass was really wet and slippery. So I didn't managed to tackle anyone, but I managed to catch the ball once! =D It was hard though, because since the grass was so slippery, I'd try running, and I'd be sliding or slipping everywhere. But it was still lots of fun!

Anyways, I better go.... Gotta run my chinchilla and do some other stuff.

Summer Has Begun! (For me ;) )

So the last few weeks have been crazy busy, but I finally get to have a bit of a summer =D! Yays!

I can't remember what I said in the last post, but I finished Bio11 =D! YEEEHA! I finished with a 74%? I think thats what it was. Anyway, I finished math 11 as well =D! After all those stressful days of math, I'm officially done, and passed with a 64%!!! =O =D

Also, a few weeks ago, I got my L, and I went driving for the first time =D!!!! I might be going driving tomorrow as well =).

OO, and on Tuesday, the guy I'm working with, with my music, we finally got some work done together! I'm stoked about it, we managed to record 2 songs, they aren't completely finished yet, but they sound amazing =D!

Then one of my besties Rachel, came over, as well as another friend Kym. It was great, we had the best time ever! =P

Jesse's back as well =), its nice seeing him back again, but in some ways he has changed =(, kind of makes me sad. But I guess its just part of him growing up. Kinda makes me hate change even more, I kind of miss our old friendship. I guess we all have to grow up some time though.

Anyways, hope you all are enjoying whats left of summer =). I sure am gonna make the most of whats left =P.

Wow! Summer's Been Crazy!

Hello! Sorry for not posting in like a month! I've been so busy with summer school and all the other activities that come and go.
I finished Bio 11 a few weeks ago! FINALLY! Now I just have Math 11, its been a LONG rough journey with it. I'm quite close to being done! I am supposed to be finished and take my exam (not a provincial) on the 19th, and I'm FREAKING OUT! Not that bad, but I'm quite nervous about it. I just hope that I pass the course! I just want to be DONE, forever!
I GOT MY L, on Wednesday. I went for it on Tuesday, but I unfortunately failed by one question, so they told me to come back the next day, so I did, and I PASSED =D!!!!! YAYs! Now I'm legally allowed to drive, with an adult 25 years of age, and with their full license ;). I'm excited but nervous about starting to drive, its gonna be quite the experience, getting behind that wheel. But I'll be a pro at it in no time =P.
I've been working on my music as well. So far this summer I have written 4 good songs. I'm not gonna speak further out it, as I don't want to say I'm gonna be doing something and then it not happening, so I'm gonna keep this info to myself until/if it happens.
Mady, my little sister, comes home tomorrow! I'm excited, I've been needing a movie buddy =P. Unfortunately though, I will not have my room to myself after tomorrow though =/... Kinda sucks, but it'll be nice to have a room mate again. Except.... I need to clean up before she comes home, its a little bit of a mess. My family will be leaving tomorrow to pick her up, but I'll be staying home, as I don't want to overwhelm her with so many people, it'll be quite the transition from being independant and living on an island for 6 weeks, and then coming back home to the old life she had before. I'd also like to just clean my room and myself up a bit, before she comes home. I don't really want her coming home to a messy room. Anyways, yeah... I'll have plenty to do. =)
I'm excited cause in two weeks or so, one of my besties is sleeping over for 2 nights! =D It'll be nice! I haven't seen her for like 3 weeks =P, HAHHA... you gotta keep in touch with your friends, even if its only been 3 weeks! =P But she says she has lots of stories to tell me, so I'm looking forward to that.

Anyways... I should go! Once I have more interesting stories or exciting news, I'll be sure to post about it eventually. But as for right now, I have nothing else to say... So before I start rambling, I better go!

Summer at the Moment

Wow, I haven't posted in like 2 weeks... HAHA, thats not that bad. It sounds worse if I say, I HAVEN'T POSTED SINCE LAST MONTH! But either way its true =P.
Anyways, summer at the moment is kind of a downer for me. I have Bio 11 and Math 11 to complete. I'm very close to being done Bio 11, only 4 tests and 3 labs left! YAHOO! But math is just taking forever! I have only about a module and a half left, but even then I still have 1 module test, and a final exam which I'm definitely not ready for. I don't know if I'll ever be ready for it. So yeah, I've been super busy with those. Other than that, I have made some trips out for sleep overs at my grandparents house, which was nice, and relaxing for the most part. Anytime I got a little bored and didn't know what to do with myself, I would do some Bio 11. Hopefully I will have it done within the next week, or week and a half. Prayer would be appreciated!

Thursday was fun though. I got to hang out with one of my friends that I haven't seen in a while (Sunday was actually the first time in months that I saw her, but she phone cause she wanted to hang out again), and we had a sleep over. During the day we spent a few hours at the horse ranch she rides at, and we groomed, I watched her ride a little, mucked out stalls, etc. I even found a little, sick mouse =(. Knowing it wouldn't live too much longer, I didn't want the dogs getting at it, so I quickly grabbed some gloves (not wanting to get sick), picked it up, and found a nice place under a large tree surrounded in weeds and long grass, and placed a large leaf in a little hidden place, and placed the little mouse on it, and hid the area with the weeds and grass. I hope it passed away peacefully, and without suffering....

Anyways... Other than that, I am just trying to find a part-time job, and working on finishing up a little studying for my L written test, which I should hopefully be writing next week or so. Wish me luck! =)

A Day with a Brother...

Yesterday was a wonderful day! It turned out a lot different than I had hope or expected, but it was definitely a day I will not forget.Since my brother (in Christ), Jesse, is leaving for Edminton within the next few days/ or week, I wanted to spend a day with him. I tried desperately to get some people together to visit with him, but nobody could make it. So I went by myself, and had an incredible day with him. =)
First off I was told to meet him at the skytrain station, I got my ticket and everything. I just stood there waiting, while skytrains took off, and people passed by. Eventually, if felt this little bit of a breeze beside me, and I looked to my left, and there was Jesse just standing beside me waiting =P. After that I realized I didn't need my ticket because he had brought his car, but that was ok =). On our way back to his house, we just talked, and caught up with each others' lives. Once we got the house, Jesse just ran upstairs and brought Luke down, and then we all walked to Newens Cafe (I think thats what its all, anyways), they had managed to order incredibly fast, and even ordered for me. However, it was WAY too much for me to eat that morning, especially after getting up so early. They had ordered me a egg bennedict. But I couldn't get it down, cause I wasn't really hungry, and I started to feel a little sick. So I eventually had to take it to go. One of the funny moments during our time at the Cafe, was when Jesse and I were just talking, and Luke red in the face from laughing, kept pouring more cream into Jesse's coffee. Eventually we noticed, and were laughing, but we kept on talking, and Luke managed to finish off all the creams (putting them into Jesse's coffee). Then we were debating whether it was the cream or sugar that made his coffee so sweet (pretty sure it was the sugar). Just like all Darby boys, they wouldn't let me pay for myself. After that we walked back to their house. I woke up Rachel, HAHA, that was fun! =P I just jumped on her bed,making her gasp, and then she looked at me, and turned over. Then I just rubbed her back for a sec, and she got up and was like "I need to go shower", and "your hear early!" =P. Then when she woke up, I gave he $2 to put in Jesse's room as pay back for the meal that I later discovered Luke payed for. After that I went with Jesse to the church to drop off some things, and then he drove me to the harbour where he used to go with his friend Harry before he died, he was telling me all about his dream to find and buy Harry's boat.
After that we got back to the house, I played with Kaitlyn and Norma, and Jesse comes around with his camera and decides to take a bunch of pictures, it was fun. HAHA, and went I was bouncing Norma, Jesse taps her mouth with his hand, making her do that Indian-like noise =P. While the rest were cleaning the house, I took Kaitlyn downstairs to play some piano pieces with her. While we were playing some pieces, Jesse comes around and decides to use some of his medical stuff on me, testing my blood pressure (that was uncomfortable), and he was using his stethoscope on me, listing to my heart beat and such, and Kaitlyn wanted to try, and so she was using me as her "patient" for a little bit. However, after that we got back to the piano, and Jesse wanted to try the song, so I showed him what notes. After he started playing, I started playing with him, HAHA, but then I sped ahead of him and he was like "thats not fair. You cut me off." =P, so I let him try again, and then I played slowly with him. =P Fun memories they were =). When we went back upstairs, Jesse and I watched the "Andy Griffith show", but unfortunately, Kaitlyn wouldn't stop talking to me, so I couldn't really watch the show. If was funny though cause Kaitlyn touched my face and was "wow, your face is so soft", and she was like "your face is so soft and fuzzy!". When I started laughing, Jesse was like "why are you laughing? Its not even a funny part in the show." Then I told him what Kaitlyn said, and he was like "yeah, she has a beard". HAHA, but then Kaitlyn just draw lots of pictures for me =). Then we had to go sit at the table for lunch, so while we were eating lunch we played this game Jesse won, called "Bang". It was fun! =P I won! I used a dynamite on Jesse, and completely killed his guy, and then I decided to procrastinate a little with killing Luke, and he was like "Alright, just put down the card! You killed me!", HAHAH. Then Jesse decided to get a little dramatic as was like "take my hand!" (trying all his siblings first, and none of them would do it, then he did it to me, so I did, and he was like "Tell my mother I love her....(some other stuff =P)". Then we had to clean up, but they did that rather quickly, and Jesse decided he wanted to fight me, so we did. HAHA, and while he wasn't looking, I punched him right in the gut ;), so thats when the fighting started =P. Then eventually he was like "k, we're gonna take this outside where there is more space". (it was kind of wet though) We fought, but he kept circling me, so I had to run at him a couple of times, but every time I did that he would have me on the ground =P (I gotta learn some new moves!), but eventually Jesse had me stuck on the ground (me squirming, trying to kick him and get out), but he was like "your done!" =P. So I just lay on the grass for a while trying to catch my breath, and Kaitlyn started yelling at me "get up!" and eventually she got Elijah to get me up, so he came down with a mop =P. Anyways, once I got back inside, I just said with the younger siblings, and we just bugged each other, talked and such until Jesse got off the phone. Then we played "Bang" again. Then we watched some more of the "Andy Griffith show", and then about an hour and a half before I had to be back at my dad's work office, Jesse took me out for Starbucks, again not letting me pay, so the $2 I left in his room should pay for that =P.  Once we got our drinks, we looked around Starbucks, unsuccessfully finding a place to sit, so he decided to take me to the dike closer to my dad's work. So we walked, talked, drank our Starbucks around there, through beautiful forested areas, lots of lovely flowers there, out to a train track. Then we headed back to the car so that Jesse could get rid of his jacket. Then we walked a different trail, in the same area, following the train track. Then Jesse found some old mustangs, his dream car making him go crazy =P. Once he laid down on the train track as was like "I'm just gonna lie here, and hopefully a train will not hit me.", then I was like "Its kind of wet", then Jesse said "yeah, and kind of dirty", then he stood up, and I was like "ha, your pants are wet" =P. Then we kept walking, Jesse decided to walk on the wall, and me just getting shorter and short, then Jesse decided to get goofy as was like "ha, your just keep getting shorter. This is how life should be. Everyone looking up at me." =P, haha, then while we kept walking, I suddenly didn't hear him walking anymore, so I turned around and he was gone. So I walked back a few paces and jumped up on the wall, looking down, seeing Jesse sitting up against the other side of the wall. Him looking up at me, "what? I'm cuddling!" Me: "with your mug?" Jesse: "its comfortable!" =P. HAHAH, oh, those good times. Eventually we started walking back, then we were talking about my Irish grandparents, and about how my grandma likes him, and he just loved that =P. Once we got back to the car, Jesse had to turn the car around, and decided to make the car circle, with the front end of the car, spinning. Then we look behind us, and there are some people in another car scowling at us. So we drive off, and once we get to my dad's office, I give him a hug, and I told him I'll see him when he gets back. Him in reply to that “what if I’m dead, and you see me in the newspaper….” Me: “you won’t die” Jesse: “how do you know?” Me: “you won’t die”. I reminded him that the letter I gave him (wrapped around a hand-made, silk cross, made my a Miao lady in China), he isn't allowed to read it until he gets on his plane, then he said "did you write it?" me: "yes" Jesse: "now I want to read it even more" me: "well, you can't until you get on the plane". Jesse: "ok…" In the midst of it, I accidently hit my head against the door frame, making him laugh. But then I thanked him for the nice day, and we said goodbye, he drove off, and I went into my dad's office.



Even though, the day didn't turn out at all as I had originally planned, I don't think I would have wanted it any other way. I let God take control of that day, and that is how He planned for the day to turn out, and I'm very thankful for that.

Crazy Last Few Weeks.... And yet, I still have a provincial exam, and bio and math 11 to finish. Pray for me!

Hello! Well, this has been quite an eventful week ;). I finished my socials quizzes in time! =D Now I just have my provincial exam tomorrow =S, pray for me please!

Also, on Wednesday, Vancouver B.C. had a riot for the first one since 1994. Thankfully, I wasn't in Vancouver, so I was in quite the safe place. However, I did watch what happened on the news, and WHAT IDIOTS! Seriously! What made them think it would be a good idea to destroy that beautiful city? I was actually ashamed to be Canadian that night because that is NOT how Canadians are. It was just some were just stupid and were trashing our reputation, as well as Vancouver, with the excuse of the Canucks losing the Stanley Cup to the Boston. Anyways.... Sorry for rambling.

Saturday, I was finally able to clean my room. The last few weeks have been so hectic that I wasn't able to do anything else except do school, it was exhausting, but thankfully most of it is done now.
This week, I have also been working on a new song, and I'm pleased to say.... ITS ALMOST DONE! =D

Oh, and Father's day was yesterday. My church was having a baptism, but unfortunately I wasn't able to go and support the people take that step in their faith. But Congratz to them! I pray many blessings over you all! Anyways, that day we had our Chinese side of the family over. It was fun as always =)! Good cousin bonding time, and let me just say.... Are family is... Special =P. HAHA, in a good way though, it what makes our family unique. We like to get competitive with Dutch Blitz ;), and there is still so much more. But yeah, that was fun. I even met my, I think it is our great aunt Emily, and uncle Isaac? I dunno... They are my dad's cousins' parents.

This week, I will be staying with my grandparents from Monday- Thursday. I have my socials provincial Tuesday, which I'm surprisingly not even worried about. I just hope I do well on it, thats all I ask =P.

Anyways, I'll hopefully poste again soon, but I can tell you now, that it might be a while before I blog again =P.

Just pics and such...

Hey, so today is the deadline for my school. But I'm pretty much done already. I mean, I'm going to be finishing math 11 and bio 11 during the summer, and hopefully it will be done by the end of July. Then I have my Socials 11 provincial next Tuesday, GAH! Kind of nervious, but eh, it'll be fine =).

I'm SO excited for my grade 12 year though =D! Its gonna be awesome, if what I plan comes true, school will be a sinch =P. But I'll let you know further, when the time comes ;).

Anyways, I can't afford to post a huge entry today. So I'll post a picture of my sisters and I all dressed up for my sister's grad, just before we are about to leave the house. =) Me on the my sister's left, or for you it would be me on the far right ;).

Hmm... I didn't get to post any pictures from Tulameen last year, August 2010. So I guess I'll post one of my favourite pictures we took there =).

This next one is of us girls giving Jesse (My amazing big brother in Christ <3) a massage because he was kind of sore. HAHA, what a goof =P.

And just for old times sakes. This pictures is one of my all time favourites =) because its one of the first pictures I had taken of Jesse, Rachel, and I together. This was at the practise hike for the JDF hike last year. Awww, man, I love them SO much! Hopefully I'll get to see them again soon.

Oh yeah, and Jesse will be leaving for, I think its Edminton, on July 1? I can't remember, but he was called there since he is in the military now. He doesn't know when he's coming back, and I really have no idea when I'll see him again. I hope to at least see him one more time before he goes, and I hope he'll be back for my grad, but I'm not going to bet on it. However, put him in your prayers please =).

Anyways, thats all for today. I may start posting more pictures and such soon =P. In my opinion, they are a lot more fun to look at than reading posts. So yeah....

School, Grad, so on...

Hey, just another quick update... I don't reall have time to do this, but I felt like I needed to blog again.

So Grad was awesome! Longs ceremony, danced, then at around 12:30am or so we went to the beach and some of my friends went swimming. COLD! =P After that we went back to my Darby family's house and went straight to bed. Then at 8 or so (some earlier), everyone started getting up, and we made pancakes. After that we (not including me) were planning on going to a swimming pool, but Luke got the time wrong, so we ended up walking all over downtown New Westminster. Fun times! Two great days full of fun, but sadly it had to come to an end. I hope to see them all soon again- Luke, Rachel, Zach, and Adrienne.

School is a little frustrating at the moment. Deadline is coming up in about 13 days, and I still have quite a bit to do still. But oddly, I'm not getting anxious about it or anything. Please pray that I finish my courses in time! =S

Worship... I had my audition, I'm not sure if I talked about it in my last post, but I had an audition for one of the big, Sunday morning worship teams. It went well I'd say, I just bombed the hymn, but other than that, I think it went alright. Then that same night, I had a music recital, and from what I've heard, I did really good. So I'll take their words for it =P.

Today, I spent the day at my dad's work, a pipe and steel company. I paid to prune, weed some planters, and plant new flowers. It was good, outdoor work that I like. =) I think it turned out pretty good. I'm just exhausted now.

But anyways, I need to go.... Time to eat and do other stuff.

Worship, Grad, China... So on..

Hey, I thought I'd just give another quick update before I hit the books.

Worship... I'm still trying to figure out the harmony for some of the songs, which is getting really frustrating, but I know I can do it. It is just gonna take some time, and hopefully I can help from someone if I need it. However, today was discouraging! I went to check my e-mail, and I found that my youth worship leader had e-mailed me, asking if I could play this week! ITS MY SISTER'S GRAD THE SAME DAY! =( I'm a little depressed about that, because I LOVE playing on my youth worship team. I had no idea he was going to ask me to play again this month, I assumed the last time I played it was going to be the last worship time too. I just hope this grad is worth me missing it...

China... MY MOM'S COMING HOME TODAY! It will be nice to have her home again =), and from what I've heard from her, she's is so ready to come home. Her flight comes in, in 7 hours =D! But my siblings and I will have to wait a few hours after flight comes in to see her, she only wants my dad picking her up (just for some peace and quiet before coming home).

Grad.... Grad's on Thursday! I'm more or less excited now. I mean, I am excited, but there are parts that I'm kind of dreading (such as the 2 hours of sitting and listening to people talk and so on). Also because of what I told you about the worship. I can't wait to see all my friends there though, it will be fun, I hope.

Anyways, I better get busy with my school.... I'm afraid that if I write anymore, it will just continue to go do down hill in depression.

Worship, China, etc...

Hello, I thought I'd just poste a quick update before I start my busy day.

So the last few days have been interesting. By Wednesday last week, I kind of accepted the fact that mom is away, and the missing feeling is not as extreme. I mean I still miss her, but I've gotten used to not being at home. She's been doing great things with the China Lights! They went treking in the mountains to these really evil/dark places. We've been getting a couple of texts from them too, short, but sweet and to the point ;). So as far as I know, they are all alive and well, just tired, and they are loving the food =P. Keep praying for them please!

Worship team.... Well, Velocity worship is over now, as Velocity is almost as well, they are wrapping it up for the summer with the last two events that I will not be able to attend. Its a little sad not being e-mailed asking to help lead worship, its something I look forward to every month (sometimes more than just once a month). However, I filled out a form volunteering to play keyboard, or sing on one of the church worship teams. On May 29th, at 3:20- 3:45pm, they want me to audition for both ;). But yeah, I'm a little nervious about the audition because they are expecting me to sing melody and harmony at the audition. I'm not nervious about the synth audition though, its really easy =P. Pray for me please! I only have about a week and a half to prepare.

School.. I'm am just trying my best to get everything done, and I'm getting a little anxious now because I have 4 weeks to complete my courses. I know I can do it! I just need hope, and I've seen it, but I need a sign to show that there is hope yet. Another prayer request! Please pray that I'll finish everything on time, or at least just complete them one way or another.

Grad... GRAD IS NEXT WEEK =D! I'm so looking forward to my sister's graduation! It's going to be fabulous! My amazing Ratzlaff family is coming, 5 & 2 guys and gals are coming, my grandma, and its just gonna be a great time! I'm mostly looking forward to the dance though, it was amazing last year, and I'm hoping it will be just as great =). We are planning a get together/ sleep over with our favourite Darby family after grad too, so it hopefully it will work out alright, I'm still not totally sure what we are doing though. Ideas keep getting thrown into a pile and but we never actually conclude anything, but personally I think some of the ideas are a little crazy and dangerous.

Friday... I'm actually quite look forward to tomorrow, well for the most part. I have to go into my school for math tutoring, that will last until about 2:30/3ish. Then we are picking up food (for the weekend) from our grandparents' house. Then the best part! The Wejemufas are coming over! =D It will be great! We are going to have pizza and watch Lord of the Rings (well one of them anyways, we can't really spend 9 hours watching movies =P).

Anways it is now past 11. I should get down to some school. I'll try to blog again if/when I have time to spare. Have a great week!

China and a Favourite Quote

Hello, I thought I should update since it has been a while.

Well, my mom left yesterday for China. I'm happy for her, however, I can't stop missing her. My mom has never been gone this long before, I mean, the longest she's ever been away from home was for a weekend. I'm not going to be able to see her for 2 weeks. I know it may seem cheesy, but I really miss my mom. I'm not used to her not being home and being so far away. It is going to be difficult to talk to her too because of the time difference (she's like 13 hours ahead of us), and because she is going to be busy pretty much the whole time. I've been trying my best not to think about it and cry, but today it didn't work so well. I mean, I managed all day without crying or thinking about her, but on the drive home from my school I couldn't help it. We even went to my grandparents' house to pick up some food, and when I saw my grandma I started crying again, and eventually she started crying too (didn't help that we gave her a family picture of us).

This week I'm on the worship team =). I always enjoy it, so it should be a good way to keep me physically and mentally busy.

Easter Weekend!

Hello! I thought I'd just give a quick update before I got crackin with my school.

PRAISE THE LORD! HE IS RISEN! =D

On friday (good friday), my family and I took the day of work/school and my older sister and I just enjoyed watching movies =), it was great! We watched "The Greatest", which was a bit of a tragedy/romance movie. After that we watched one of our all time favourites "A Knight's Tale", featuring Heath Ledger! I absolutely love that movie! Then a few hours later, my sisters and I got ready to go out. Then we left for our church, which was having an appreciate night for our awesome friend/middle school pastor, Megan =). She was definitely surprised!

Then on Saturday, I was kind of bored actually =P, because I knew I had school to do, but really wasn't in the mood, and I really wanted to get out of the house and do something. However, I had woken up at like 12-12:30ish. So I ended up wandering around the house for a few hours, just doing random things, which included watching some really stupid mystery movie with my brother (it was stupid because it was about highschool girls and boys who lived at a boarding school, and then there was someone making everyone sick. The stupid thing about the movie was that the "highschoolers" looked like they were 13 or something, or in middle school still.) Then I spent 2 hours on my backporch in the sun working on a math assignment (which I still haven't finished). Then my dad brought home samosas, and then him and my brother and younger sister left. Eventually my mom and my older sister came home (my mom was picking my sister up from the ministry she works at), and we watched "The King's Speech". SO GOOD! It may be boring for younger kids because its more of a older period movie, which takes place just before WWII. Also, its about a prince who becomes king, but he has a stammering problem. So the movie is basically about a speech theropist that helps the king to speak (using all his funny/unique techniques).

Then Sunday, we went to church (it was great as usual! =) ), but it didn't really occur to me that it was Easter Sunday, so I didn't dress up as fancy as I would have if that thought would have passed my mind. Then after church, my family went to my grandparents house, which was nice as well. We got to see some of our cousins, aunt, uncles, grandparents again =). Once again, our grandma stuffed us all full to the gills =P. The food was excellent though! We even had dessert =P. However, we didn't really do anything super exciting. My cousins were quite occupied with the presence of my brother. So my sisters and I mostly just listened and talked with the adults, and then eventually our cousins and my aunt and one of my uncles left. So it got even quieter because the hockey game was on. So eventually I just ended up going into one of the bedrooms in my grandparents' house and made myself comfortable on one of the beds, and work on some math. =P

Anyways, its about time I started working on school! I have lots to do!

Youth... U Own the Night!

Hello! So the Thursday went well! =) I am very pleased about how it turned out =).

Well, I got to the church at 4:00ish. We set up the music equipment and the soundboard and such, and we rehearsed a bit, but it was very very rough sounding, which made both the girl leading the team and I kind of nervious and stressed out. At first it wasn't sounding the way we had planned on Sunday, so that was kind of discouraging. However at 5:30ish our drummer finally showed up and we rehearsed until 6:00. We had 30 min. to eat before we had to get back to rehearsal because our violinist had to leave for dance class which made the rehearsal more stressful. However, once youth started and everyone gathered into the room, the lights went down (except on the stage) and everything fell right into place =), the music turned from rough to wonderful. That was a miracle right there! So we did some worship, then two guys did some rapping, then we did some more worship, then another guy went up and read the verse, then I spoke (it went a lot better than I had thought! Too bad I almost started crying! Although, lots of people said they liked my speech, so its all good!) then two other grade 11s spoke, then we did more worship, then another girl spoke. After that we had open mic time to allow other students to come up for shout outs or responding, and to my surprise SO MANY people came up and shared! It was incredible! =D

Also! On Saturday, my dad took my sisters and I to the States to go dress shopping =D! It was long, but successful! I found a dress (a coral coloured dress), and some shoes to go with it, and I got a grey v-neck t-shirt =). I also got some frozen yogurt =). Anyways, yeah, that was a good, but tiring day =).

Then today was weird, church was awesome as always, but I was just having so many problems. First of all, for some reason my tongue was and has been kind of weird lately, the front of my tongue likes to push against my bottom teeth when I'm singing and sometimes talking, which causes stress, and makes me sound weird when I'm talking or singing. So it has made it annoying and a little difficult to sing. I really pray it is only a temporary thing! I don't know what it was though, my mom said it might be a stress thing, but I dunno =/.Then all morning my eye was itching like crazy! I was doing my best not to scratch it though, because I usually end up with a puffy eye if I start rubbing or scratching it.
Anyways... I need to go, dinner time =)! I'll try to post again soon if I find something interesting to talk about =P.

Worship, and Speech... Oh Life is Full of Surprises!

Hello everyone! I know I'm always apologizing in every entry for not posting, but I feel bad about it, and I think people deserve my apology for not posting as often as I should.

Anyways, I finally have some stuff to talk about.

Well, this week the grade 11's at my youth are owning the night, so we get to plan the night and everything that happens throughout it. So.... I volunteered to play guitar and sing on the worship team, AND I am also speaking! I have never done anything like it before, and it is definitely a little out of my comfort zone. But I'm nervious/excited about it because it is something I have been hoping to do for months now =P, and I finally get to do it! I actually wrote my speach as soon as I got home from the grade 11 meeting =), and editted it the next day, just so it doesn't sound like it was written at 1 in the morning, which it was =P.

So! The other day, I got the music for the worship team, and to my surprise, some of them were in keys I have never played in before. So I e-mailed, and even phoned my worship leader asking him to help me. =P I was kind of embarrassed by the message I left on the phone though, it came out a lot different than I had planned in my head =P, he probably noticed I don't talk on the phone much because of that message =P. But he got my message and replied to my e-mail almost at 1 in the morning =P, and he said he would help me =). So today after the service, and after we took a few minutes to talk to people, then him and I went to the Choir room and he helped me with chords, strum patters, transposing music to use for a capo (which I got yesterday =P), and wrote down chords. He was a HUGE help! Thanks to his help with the guitar for the worship, practise went excellent! =) Now we have a rehearsal on Thursday, and then its time to worship like we never did before! =P

Anyways, Haha, I was thinking about giving you an update on school, but I decided this post would be about just positive things =P. Please pray for me and the grade 11s owning the night! We would really appreciate the prayer! Especially for the worship team, and the people (including me) speaking!

Spring Break...

Hello! How was your Spring Break?! Mine was fabulous! =D

I had a fantastic Spring Break, it was full of things to do! I techniquely only had 4 days of spring break though, but its all good! It was four days of awesomeness! =P

Thursday, I got to see my little cousin and my grandparents again =). I haven't seen Dallan in like 3 months! He's grown so big, and he so smart! =) HAHA, however, he was busy playing with my younger brother, so I didn't have much to do. I ended up watching The Office, and Police Women of Dallas =). It kind of made me interested in being a police officer, just a little bit =P, but I highly doubt I will be going into anything like that =P.

I finally got to see my favourite Darby family again on Friday, it was great! I got to fight with some of the boys (Jesse and Elijah)-the fight with Elijah was more of a pillow fight =P-, played with Kaitlyn a bit, got to see the new babies. Then I also went for a walk with one of the boys, played some video games with Lukey, bake a cake with Rachel, went driving with Jesse, and lots of other fun stuff =P. It was great seeing them again! I already miss them, they are literally like a second family to me =). I hope the break before seeing them isn't as long this next time, 2 1/2 months was WAY to long!

Friday-Saturday, Rachel slept over! We watched movies, did a facemask, and stayed up till about 12:30 or so. Then the next day we watched another movie, and then I took Rachel up to one of my favourite places, my waterfall =). Then we went home and had lunch and before I knew it we were leaving for the Darby home again to drop Rachel off. HAHA, my dad was pulled over by a police officer too =P, which was a new experience for me! Once I got home, I played some computer games, talked to Jesse over chat, and then helped my mom peel some potatoes. It was pretty laid back after that, it was pretty much just a normal night routine after that, and getting ready for church in the morning.

Then Sunday, I went to church, the sermon and the worship was great! I helped set up the stage for the TWU choir concert that was to happen later that night. Then my dad took my sisters and I to Subway and we had that for lunch. Then two of my friends from church, Josh and Eric, came by for the day (haha, they stayed a lot longer than I thought they would!). We went for a walk, Josh and I had a sword (stick) fight, then after the walk we went for coffee. After coffee, we decided to have an adventure at Save On Foods, so we did that and found some interesting things like bacon flavoured mayonnaise =P, which was called Baconnaise =P. Then after that Josh and Eric decided they were hungary, so they bought themselves pizza and crazy bread. By the time we got back to the car, we realized Josh was late for the concert at the church, which he was planning on attending (he wasn't in the choir), so I decided that instead of making him more late by getting him to take me home, I agreed to go with him to the concert (it was free =P). So we went to the church, they finished their pizza there, and then we sat in at the balcony, and I was trying to secretly eat some Crazy Bread, hoping none of the older couples watching the choir would get mad at me =P. I don't usually eat in church (coffee is usually good enough for me), well I rarely do, last time I ate in the sactuary was a long time ago, and I was eating a cinnamin bun on the balcony =P. But anyways, after the concert, he took me home. Then Josh and Eric stayed until around 12:20, and I still hadn't run Chico (my chinchilla) yet, so it was like 1:30 by the the time I actually got to bed. Now the late night is backfiring =P, I'm a little tired this morning, and I have a deadline this coming Friday =P.

So please pray I will get loads of work sent in this week! I would really appreciate the prayer, school is such a burden right now. There is a lot of work I have to do over the next few months. Please pray I will get all my courses finished by June!

More of my Life's Story!

Hello! Sorry for not posting again for a while, I know my excuse for that is that I'm busy, but it's true! =P I always have something to do, which doesn't leave me a lot of time to post new entries. So please accept my apology once again!

Life has had its ups and downs lately. However, this week has been wonderful so far! The schedule has had to face some adjusting and fiddling because I tried cramming WAY to much into one week, it's like filling your plate up with more food than you can eat =P. It was ridiculous, but I'm getting there! =) I have no doubts that I can do it though! Graduating is one of my main goals, and if I managed to complete grade 11 as I hope, than grade 12 should be a breeze =).

You may or may not wonder why I say my week has been so wonderful. Well, Sunday, after church I went out with one of my friends for lunch, and we spent like 2 hours just eating and playing 20 questions (we probably answered and asked more than 20 questions though =P). It was great! I got to talk to her about some things that I haven't had a chance to talk to many people about, and we got to know each other very well =). Then there was Monday, I managed to send in 5 assignments and studied/completed a Bio 11 test. After that we had a get together with the China Kids (same four families from the fundraiser we did with them), which we were hoping to do for months =P. It was great! We officially call our group "Wejefuma". =) Its an interesting group we have, there are 10 of us kids, and we have a very special relationship =). Its definitely not something that is common, that's why it's special =P. It's kind of a hard friendship to explain, but its extremely cool. We are literally like a very large family =). I can't wait to see them again!

Also what I just can't wait for is Friday, even though I'm going to have to wake up at like 6:30 or so. I finally get to see the Darbys again! I miss them so much! Other than Jesse, I haven't seen them in like over 2 and a half months! Don't get me wrong though, I do miss Jesse too! =P Also, for the first time, Rachel is going to be sleeping over at my house =P (I usually end up sleeping over at her house). This week has just been a blast so far, and it just keeps getting better! =)

Anyways, I have this very confusing essay to write. I've been procrastinating with it for a few hours now, so I better get on it. I hope I didn't bore you too much =P!

Life As We Know It

Hello everyone! I'm aware I haven't posted since Valentines Day, and I'm sorry about that! I just haven't had super exciting events that are blog worthy =P. I have a couple ideas though.... HAHA, and by the way, my status has nothing to do with the movie, although, that movie is GREAT! =)

Two weeks ago, for youth, they were having a prayer night... It was absolutely amazing! There was worship, and lots and lots and lots of prayer. By the end of it, I felt so refreshed, such a great cleansing for the heart, mind, and soul.

Also, I have been working on being more social. For the past few years, I have always been the shy one, and I never talked much, but I decided that I should be more social and actually go up and talk to people. Some great people that I know still make me a little nervious though, mostly because I never know what to say or ask them. That I hope will improve.

This week on the worship team. I think they are making the worship shorter, I pretty sure Trevor used to do 5 songs, we are doing 4 now. That's alright though! I LOVE LOVE LOVE, being on my youth worship team, and I have like the coolest/bestest worship leader ever =P!

School update! School, I admit has been a little stressful lately, but I figured it out. I filled in a spreadsheet that has everything I have to do that week filled in. I just hope I can keep it up, I'm really back at keeping to schedules... Although, I don't really have a choice now, this is the only way I am going to finish my courses on time. Prayers would be appreciated!

Update on life and such...

Hey! Sorry I haven't posted in a while, busy as usual! Then again, I've also realized not many people even read my blog, so I don't think it matters if I do or do not post. But anyways, heres a bit of an update..

Well, nothing really exciting has happened over the last month, I was just busy getting my school done in time for deadline... I didn't exactly get everything done in time, but I did my best to get as much as a could. However, I was exausted by the end of the last week. But one nice and fun activity I got to do was go to the Toby Mac/Brandon Heath concert! It was AMAZING! I got to meet Toby Mac's drummer named B. Haley. I also got a Toby Mac t-shirt =).

This evening I'm going to be playing on my youth worship team! I'm excited! Playing on the worship team is one of my greatest joys! =)

Anyways, I don't have much else to say... So, I guess thats enough...

Christmas, New Years Eve, my Birthday.... So on...

Hello! I hope your Christmas was pretty great! My was swell! =)

So Christmas Eve was my family's Christmas day =P, we opened presents and such, then my mom and I had to leave at around 4:45 or so to make it to the church for the Christmas Eve rehearsal and actual service. The service was great! I got to practise my song twice before the real thing. I only had a few minor accidents on stage, but whatever, that's just how I played it that time =P... I accidently dropped my pick, my voice cracked once, HAHA, then there was one time I kind of forgot I was singing because I was so focused on the guitar that I was holding one note a little longer than I was supposed to, and then lastly, at the end of the song I got confused and I couldn't remember if I was supposed to do anything but I managed to complete the song thankfully! =) To make the people forget the voice crack a little I decided to make another part a little better too =P. Therefore, to conclude, the service went excellent! Everyone did a fabulous job! =)

Christmas day! We woke up and did our stockings and such, then we got ready to go to our grandparents' house for the day. It was fun! We ate and drank lots, and played games for hours =). My grandma and my dad even had an argument about grated cheese =P, HAHHA....

My birthday, I'm not going to say when it was because I don't particularily like people celebrating my birthday. But it was great! I had my great friend Hayley sleep over, then I had sushi for lunch, got a new guitar (IT'S AMAZING!), and then Luke, Jesse, and Rachel showed up and they bought me some lovely chocolates. Then we goofed off and had pizza, played Apples to Apples, and had cake and all that good stuff =). It was great! I think them being over was my favourite part of my Christmas break =)!

Then New Years, we got together with the Jerzaks, Martins, and the Wiebers. We played the new Donkey Kong game, the old Guitar Hero game, played Dutch Blitz, talked, and ate food =P. When 12:00 hit, we quickly grabbed drum symbols and ran outside, and banged them and screamed =P. Pretty great! Then we played more of the video games and talked, and then eventually played some Apples to Apples. Then we went home at around 1:15 or so. When we got home we ate some of the left over potato skins =), and went to bed. I was so tired! Watching a tv screen and socializing for hours kind of makes you drowsy =P.

Anyways, that has been my Christmas break so far! I finished my puzzle tonight too! But anyways, I should go, please let me know how your Christmas was! =)
